local Things we love

Hume Lake
Go on a tour of the camp and hear more about the great things happening in this incredible place. Don’t miss out on the Jeep Tours, and life-changing retreats year round for kids and adults. We love the Summer Series, and the Fisherman and Marriage Retreats.

Bear Skin Meadow
Off road or take Ten Mile Road to Bear Skin Meadow and see some of the giant sequoias in the Sequoia National Forest. Pack a lunch, bring friends, and hike among the giants like the Three Sisters, which are the three giant sequoias that are a popular destination in the grove. This area is great for dispersed camping.

Lake Fun
Spend your day swimming on the lake, and grab a burger and milkshake at the camp snack shop. We love rowing out to Sandy Cove or taking out a paddleboard with friends. Trout fishing is great in the Springtime with a license or guide. Don’t forget to get a family portrait by the lake.

Local Artist Highlight
Leah uses ink, wood, and fire to create beautiful artwork.
Leah’s tree ring art has become a common sight in many cabins at Hume, featuring reclaimed wood from trees that were taken down and repurposed to make beautiful art. In addition to tree prints she also enjoys other forms of relief printmaking, focused mostly on linoleum relief printing. You can join one of her workshops or get an original print for you and friends. Look for new, original linocut prints in her shop.
